Honors Program for a Business Major

My son is applying as a business major to Fisher and likely to the Honors Program. We’re researching Honors on the OSU website and are confused about whether incoming freshman accepted into the Honors Program can choose Business Honors, or that’s something students in Fisher apply to later on.
The Honors tab on the Honors and Scholars page states, “Honors Programs are housed within the individual College or Specialized Program. Below is a list of Programs…” Sure enough, there’s a a Business Honors programs with a link that describes 4 options (Bus/Engin, Acctg, Honors Cohort and Honors Contract) that students can apply to Sophomore year. But is this Business Honors program part of the school-wide Honors Program or something unrelated?
Can students apply to,say, Honors Cohort, as sophomores without having previously been accepted into the school-wide Honors Program?
Finally, if any business majors have experience with either Honors or Scholars or with Business Honors we would love to hear about your experience and what aspects seem most valuable to you.
Thanks.

For your freshman year you need to apply to university honors. Then during the spring of your sophomore year you apply to a Fisher honors program. The one exception to this is the business/engineering honors which is applied for when you apply to the university. You must be part of university honors to apply for a fisher honors program but you can always apply to university honors your second year if your GPA is high enough. Lastly the fisher honors programs are under the supervision of the university honors and scholars department but are administered by the college and are thus unique to fisher.

@FisherStudent‌, Thanks so much for your very helpful explanation. During freshman year, do Fisher students in University Honors have activities with other honors students in Fisher and can they take honors business courses? Thanks again.

@FisherStudent‌ , when you refer to business/engineering honors, are you referring to IBE? What else can you tell us about that?
