Well, I was wondering two questions. A speedy answer would be appreciated, as the deadline is coming up.

Firstly, if accepted to the program, do you actually have to join? I am not 100% sure I am up for the program or not, but do not want to miss the deadline and find out I feel like I should have done it. Not to be rude in the least, but I would rather not get answers such as "read about it and find out before you apply" etc. I would just like to see other factors before I accepted the invite, and these factors will not become known until after the deadline.

Secondly, if accepted to the program and I accept the invite (assuming you have a choice in the matter), would I be able to live in a non honors dorm?

Thank you for you answers, I really appreciate it.

By applying you express that you want to join. With that said, you are not obligated to join if accepted. Why would they force you to join?..

If you accept an initiation to join, you are expected to live in the honors dorm as it is a critical part of the program. Exceptions would likely only be made in cases such as a student living off campus, being an athlete, etc…

You don’t really sound like you want to be in the program…

The following thread discusses the honors program: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/georgia-institute-technology/845805-honors-program-class-2014-a.html

thank you for the answer.

and no, like I said in my post, it is not that I do not want to do it, but it is more so that I am still trying to decide if it is right for me and if some other factors come to be. I do not want to realize I would like to do it and then miss my chance.
