Honors Program Question

<p>What are the minimum stats to be considered for the Honors Program? I got an e-mail telling me I'm eligible (along with the essay topics), but one of my friends hasn't gotten it yet. He applied more than a month before I did and got in (we both have 4.0 GPAs, all kinds of AP classes, but he had a 31 on his ACT and I had a 35 when we applied [September 22-ish for him, and November 3 for me]). He retook the ACT after he was admitted and got a 34, and he sent that score into Michigan for any extra consideration. If a 31 was not considered high enough for honors consideration when he applied, but Michigan now has his 34 on the ACT, can he still be considered for the honors program? </p>

<p>i don't remember where i read it, but was like a 32 ACT / 3.8 GPA as the lower end of the threshold for immediate consideration. but i'm pretty sure you'd both get in with a decent essay.</p>
