Does anyone know around when we will be finding out if we got into the honors program or not? Also, anyone have any opinions about living in cromwell vs. living in the towers?
Thanks.

I think we heard back in May. Personally, I love being in Cromwell. Some of the things I love about living in Cromwell: not having a communal bathroom, laundry on every floor, a lounge on the floor that isn’t made into a quad, it tends to be much quiter, real windows. One of my suitemates actually told me that if she hadn’t gotten into the honors program she probably wouldn’t have come to TCNJ simply because she would not stand living in the towers. I’d say for the most part the majority of the people who live in Cromwell love Cromwell and the majority of the people who live in the towers love the towers. It’s all so subjective. You will have people tell you they think Cromwell is absolutely horrible, but everyone I know in my building loves living in it.

okay thank you! also, one more question. did you take an honors fsp? if so, which one? and if I decided not to take an honors one, what are my chances of living in cromwell? I think that’s where I would prefer to live but I was looking at the fsp list from last year and some of the non-honors ones sound more interesting to me.

I was in Irish Cinema and it was an honors FSP. If you choose to not take an honors FSP unfortunately there’s no way to guarantee you get into Cromwell.

I need help! ok I have a 2.89 gpa what grades do I need to get it to a 3.00 at least thanks?

hey hazeleyez i’m not going against your words but at the accepted students day today i was on the housing tour and my tour guide said that there is an 80 percent chance freshmen will be in the towers and 20 perc. will be in cromwell. After asking him about honors, he said that cromwell isn’t necessarily all honors kids and one does have a slight (20 percent) shot at getting into cromwell, even if they are non-honors. is this true?

oh yes not all of cromwell is honors! sorry i should have clarified before. there are 6 floors total in cromwell. floor 1 is non honors…2 is a mix of honors and non honors…3 and 4 are all honors…5 is a mix with transfers and 6 is all transfers. i have no idea if the floors are always split like this though. so there is a chance a non-honors student will be put in cromwell but the student really has no control over it, it all just depends which fsp(s) they decide to put in cromwell

ohh okay yeah thank you for clarifying so its just luck of the draw.

yeah pretty much unfortunately

My son is waiting to hear about the honors program. Someone I work with said his son got a letter on Friday, 4/9. Has anyone else heard?

Strange…my son just received a letter with an application to the honors program (dated April 8). The form says it should be postmarked no later than April 2 for consideration but the cover letter states that the application should be received no later than April 23 for consideration. He was admitted February 11 so it’s not like this was due to a late admission. Any insights??

I just got an email from John Sisko saying that I was accepted to the program. It said that only 125 students are admitted each year. Good luck to everyone! Cromwell, here I come!

would it be too late to apply for the honors program?
