Are the undergraduate course requirements for the LSA Honors Program the same for regular LSA?

Do Honors kids have to do QR/R&E, etc. on top of Honors requirements?

Yes, the only difference as far as graduation requirements is that Honors students take Great Books I/Honors section of Classic Civ 101 and a second literature and ideas course for the freshmen writing requirement instead of English 125/First year history seminar like all other students.

You're also supposed to maintain a minimum GPA, take a certain number of credit hours and honors classes per term to stay in good standing with the honors department.

Keep in mind that you're able to do an Honors concentration in a major without doing Honors college. Honors college is mostly just a thing for freshmen/sophomores with no real meaning, whereas honors concentration usually involves taking an extra upper-level course and doing a thesis and will show up on your diploma.

1234567890, you and i would make a great couple.

So if I'm going to major in Honors Math, isn't it pointless to be part of the Honors College? Can I still sign up for Honors housing if I do Honors Math?

You're technically not an Honors math major until you officially declare, which usually isn't until sophomore/junior year. Doing Honors program and doing an Honors math major are pretty much entirely unrelated.

It's not pointless because Honors housing is tied to the Honors program. Not only does South Quad have good location, but pretty much everybody doing Honors math with also be in Honors college/housing, which is extremely helpful as far as working together on homework.
