Honors program student here to answer questions

That im not sure of, sorry.

bump on my question please lol

Honors letters are coming out this week! who is nervous?! I AM!

i have an interview with sebs tomorrow for honors program. Anyone know how long they are and some tips for the interview? Thanks.

i also have an interview with sebs tomorrow and was just wondering what exactly the writing samples are? do we have to write an essay or something? Also, are we supposed to arrive at 8:45? or earlier?

Thanks =)

i got rejected from sas honors.
bummer.
oh well.
RU '13 mettler? maybe.

Ugh…as if I haven’t had enough timed writes this year.

i think there are like 30 spots open for tomorrow and there are like a hundred people coming.

Hmm…should be fun. I wonder if I will notice the CCers there LOL.

I’m considering attending the honors program at RU, but I have a few questions. Will i see a lot of people from my former school? RU accepts like…half of my school, and about 60% of those accepted attend RU (these are all in-state kids) Second, i’m interested in a big social scene…which of the dorms offer that? I know college Ave does, but will i have that in the honors dorms? or is it not different for us?
thanks so much!

brett hall, the honors dorm on college ave, is still a very social place. and there are soo many people here and so i only see people from hs if i want to. and the times when that does happen and i don’t want to see random people from high school, it’s a little awkward but fine. you can even get away with pretending not to see them, which I’m sorry, but I do quite often. also, does it really matter? Rutgers isn’t high school part II, if that’s what the concern is.

What’s your opinion of the reputation that SASHP has for education after Rutgers? i.e. grad school, med school, etc. Do students feel they have a good shot at getting into good schools?

Thanks!

^ i second that question

Has anyone gotten into Engineering Honors Program? I’ve met the initial SAT and Rank Requirements, but not received any notification. Maybe I’m reading it incorrectly but when they say high score on math placement exam, does that mean that they won’t admit you to honors program for Engineering until you’ve taken and scored well on the math placement exam?

I third emags question ^^^

And also, I got into SAS Honors and NB Business. So if I want to go to graduate school for business, would it be better to graduate SAS Honors with a statistics major + business or computer science minor, or just a finance major in NB Business. And how hard is it to transfer from SAS Honors to NB Business.

does anyone know when sebs gets back to the students who interviewed for the honors program?

when do transfers hear back about the honors program?

can freshman students in the pharmacy program dorm in honors housing or not? if not, where should i dorm? i was thinking busch but i feel like that would be full by now so what should my other choices be?

hey!
i have a couple of questions! =)

do you HAVE to live in an honors dorm?

do you still get to take classes with the majority of the school? not just with the other honors students right? and how big are the classes usually? lecture halls since RU’s a big school…?

how’s the honors program different from just regular, non-honors?

thank you!!! :)

Just a quick question. . .if you are accepted into the honors program at RU do you have to live on campus? I know many honors programs require the students to live in a certain dorm, but I live only 10-15 minutes away and would rather just commute in order to save money by not paying for room and board.
