Honors Program

supermarth64: You will be waiting awhile for your engineering honors program notification. I didn’t get mine until far after the enrollment deadline. If you end up not getting a letter, but would like to speak to the dean about it, the first-year dean is open to discussing small exceptions for interested students.

The School of Arts and Science Honors Program Committee will review the records of all incoming first year students admitted to SAS and RBS to select students who will be offered admission to the School of Arts and Sciences Honors Program. Students selected for admission will be notified by no later than Tuesday, March 15, 2011

Actually, I would say the biggest perk of the Honors program is getting to live in an Honors Dorm. With housing so competitive at Rutgers, if you request an Honors Dorm on a particular campus you will most likely get it.

I would recommend that you go to one of the Honors Open Houses in the spring for more info. My son just completed his first semester and really loves it.

I got my letter today. In state, last name begins with F

No letter so far :frowning:
Do we have to fill out a special application if our school doesn’t officially rank?

D got SEBS Honors letter yesterday. It doesn’t seem like a done deal even though she has the stats - you have to apply & come for full day of interviews in March. (Presidential Scholars are automatic admits - grrr…if she had only studied for SATs a bit)

Letter notes that there are at least 23 slots. Does anyone know how competitive it is?

My D was just accepted CAS and Engineering. Her SAT +2160. Her school d/n give class rank. Will she get an Honors invite? She wants to be a dentist. Do you think Biology or Chemistry are better choices than say, Chemical Engineering? Thanks.

I got into the NB SAS Honors Program instate with a 2170 SAT and 3.7 UW GPA.

Just wondering if anyone knows how many students get accepted to the Honors Program every year, specifically NB SAS?

my stats are similar to yours, except i sent in ACT (32). i got a scholarship but didn’t get in…they probably don’t favor ACT as much as SAT…

Well, I only got into the Honors Program via email four days ago. I haven’t received a package yet - maybe because I live overseas? Maybe you’ll still get in?

Funny, because I didn’t get a scholarship.

oh i got the letter today.
you might get a scholarship later since my letter was pretty late… and i’m instate.

I got my scholarship letter but not the honors program one…getting a little nervous now
