Honors Program

I know ND invites strong candidates to apply for the Glynn Family Honors Program, but does anyone know when they send invitations to early admit students? Has anyone received one yet?

I was told mid to late January but I do not know how accurate the source was. Hopefully we will be hearing soon.

Does anyone know if EA admitted students (starting college Fall 2014) would have received their invitations by now?

Our S got an invitation to apply to Glynn Honors program in today’s mail (outside Washington, DC). Does anyone know much about this program? Is it very difficult to get, once you are invited to apply?

I called the Honors Program office yesterday (Monday) and was told that invitations to EA admittees would go out later this week. I was told that the committee was still reviewing the files. So it seems strange that you say you received an invite today, which would mean the invitation had to mailed from South Bend last Friday or earlier.

My son got an invitation yesterday also. I think Reilly Scholars are automatically invited to Glynn if they are in Science or Arts & Letters, so maybe those students’ invites went out earlier. Postmark was from last Friday.

That makes sense. Wonder why the woman in the office didn’t tell me that?

How many people typically get invited?

Is the program also available for business students?

I’m not sure how many typically get invited but I can tell you that the honors program typically enrolls 100 students each year. So about 100 students in the class of 2018 will be picked, 50 from the college of science and 50 from arts and letters.
