I am just creating this thread to see if anyone has been notified that they are a ND scholar, or if they have been named to the Glynn Family Honors program. I believe these letters should be coming soon if they have not been released already. If it is not too much to ask I would also like those of you that have been nominated for the honors programs, to please post your stats.

I think if you were invited to the Reilly Weekend you are immediately considered a member of the Glynn Family Honors program, but don’t quote me on it

Heyy… I made a thread for this already. You commented. I haven’t heard anything either, though.

Yes you are correct. I actually had to go look that up. I had completely forgotten about that and I apologize.

FWIW, my daughter was accepted ED and invited to the Reilly weekend. She received her Glynn Family Honors application last week, with a due date of mid-February.

Has anyone else gotten an invite?

My principal just called the program and they told her they are several weeks away from sending out iinvitations. They have not gotten the info from admissions. She mentioned that I was accepted EA.

I have also gotten a letter from the Glynn Family Honors Program. It isn’t automatic admittance- you have to apply, if it’s a program you think you want to do. I haven’t decided if I will or not yet.
What is a ND Scholar?

Really? This is confusing. I emailed the director of the program last weekend and she said they had yet to mail the invites.

Maybe they sent the apps to the Reilly weekend people, but they are yet to go out to the non-Reillys. I got a similar answer when I contacted the program, curiosity33. I would think they’d have to get an idea of how many honors kids were in the regular pool before they used up all the spots for EAs.

Hmm, yeah I would think so as well. Maybe they send apps to qualified RD candidates before they receive their acceptances. Anyway, the director said they should be mailed within the next couple weeks, so we should be seeing them soon.

Just got the invite today. Really excited about the Glynn program. Was accepted EA. Absolutely will be writing the essay to apply to the program.

Have any other EAers gotten an invite?

None here. Really bummed.

I also got the invite about a week ago. I was admitted EA.

Hey there, prospies!
I’m a member of the ND class of '14 and am also in the Glynn Family Honors Program. I remember being in your position (and being equally confused) about a year ago, so if you have any (relatively straightforward) questions about the program or the application process, just let me know!
First off, for those of you that have been accepted to the Reilly Program, congrats! Reilly was a great experience for me and was a major factor in my decision to attend Notre Dame. If you’ve been accepted to Reilly, you’ve also been accepted to Glynn Family Honors. The application is very short (a one page letter, if I remember correctly) but you’re pretty much already in. For you non-Reillys, don’t worry, those letters will be in the mail soon. I can’t comment on the application for non-Reilly students (sorry guys!) but I don’t know anybody who was denied. If you’ve been invited, I would highly recommend accepting. The program is fantastic and I’ve really enjoyed my honors classes.
Once again, congrats on getting in to ND and good luck with the rest of your college apps!
