<p>Hey do any of you guys know when the invites for UM's Honors Program comes out? Will it come in the acceptance packet or will it come later?</p>
<p>No idea when it comes (I applied into it as a non-honors student), but according to the office of admissions, if you’re admitted you get an offer if (& only if) you’re in the top 5% of your class and have an SAT score > 1350.</p>
<p>Only the top 10% of accepted students will be invited into the honors program. So you can still have their required stats and not get in. But, of course, not all accepted students will enroll.</p>
<p>My daughter had the stats they required but was not in the top 10%. She waited until after enrollment and asked if she could now be admitted into the program and they allowed her in. So, if you have the stats and become a Cane, make sure you formally ask if you may now be accepted to the honors program.</p>
<p>One of the really good things about being in this program is that you get to register for classes before all the other students in your grade level. This is so important for those hard to get classes.</p>
