Hi, I was recently invited to the Honors Program and am completing my essay as soon as possible. However, I have a few questions about the program and the process itself.

1.) How competitive is admissions to the program as there are no stats on it. How many kids are admitted?

2.) Also, for any who are at Michigan what are the advantages of the Honor Program, if any?

Just to let you know my stats are
Mich GPA:3.7 with all honors and AP Classes, rigorous curriculum
SAT: 1470 or 2160
ACT: 32

There are plenty of posts about honors, including the stats on students, you've just obviously not been looking hard enough. I'm not sure about how many kids are admitted to honors, but 450-500 usually matriculate every year. Your SAT and ACT are slightly belove average for the honors program, but not to fear, that means that over 100 kids with stats worse than yours still get in every year. Averages for honors are 33.5 and 1490 I believe. Why aren't you applying dsmo? I'm in it and I think it's totally worth it. I've had an awesome experience with the honors program.

For certain kinds. I'm prety sure biomed is one of them - but my choice, EE, wasn't. Honors engineering was very limited, if I recall correctly.
