Yesterday I was ecstatic to find out that I was accepted to the CSOM at Boston College. Nothing beats an acceptance letter, especially to one of your top schools. I was wondering how an accepted student would pursue a path involving the honors program at BC. Did you have to sign up for it with your application, or are they just placing to top whatever percent in the honors program. I am very confused at how this works, any feedback would be appreciated!

Well, when you are accepted, the acceptance letter includes whether or not you are in the honors program. There was no separate application, it seems like it was just the top of the candidate pool that get into the honors program. If you haven’t already been invited into the honors program, then your other chance will be to try and enter as a freshman, although the website makes it seem as if the process of joining the honors program as a freshman is much more rigorous and has a small number of people they let in.
