Honors Program

Other than the Ramsey Honors and FF, did anyone hear or know when you would hear if you were accepted into the Honors Program

My daughter applied regular decision last year, was notified of acceptance
to the university within about 3 weeks, and invited to apply to the Honors Program. She did so, then heard about acceptance to that within another 2 weeks or so. We were surprised at the quick notifications for both.

Just received the application today for the Honors College, however, I also applied for the Foundation Fellows/Ramsey Scholars with a separate app prior to 12/1 with notification due sometime by the end of Jan. Are they totally separate or is this in lieu of FF/Ramsey Scholars, or the Honors College is not aware of applicants who have applied for FF/Ramsey Scholars?

Does you dd attend UGA and if so how does she like the school?

No, my daughter only applied to UGA as a financial safety.....she
had other plans in mind which worked out, so isn't attending there.
However, she has many friends who do, and ALL of them are absolutely loving
their first year so far. She did not apply for the FF because of the extensive essays required and because it was a school that was not high on her list. A friend of hers was offered a Foundation Fellowship but opted for Vanderbilt instead. He is an exceptional student.

I'm applying to Georgia as a back up to Vanderbilt. This is kind of off subject but how does your daughter's friend like Vanderbilt?

She spoke to her friend at Vanderbilt over Thanksgiving and apparently
he is thrilled with being there. I know he struggled with his decision
right up until the final deadline since the FF is such a fabulous program.
Seems he has absolutely NO regrets.
