Has anyone been accepted to the Honors Program? If so, how much merit $$ did you get, and what were your stats?

Forgot to add: Male, SAT 2240, GPA 4.5 weighted, 4.0 UW, $13,050 merit.

We've yet to receive anything via the mail. My Daughter received an e-mail from Santa Clara saying her scholarship info was being mailed to her. Two weeks later she still hadn't received anything so she called and talked to someone in Admissions. They directed her to their website where she discovered she had receieved a scholarship for $13,500. Her stats are SAT 2150, GPA 4.0 U.W. No mention of honors program.

The Honors Program is a totally separate entity from the Merit Scholarship your daughter received. Notification came in the form of a letter from the Program Director, William Greenwalt- no email at all. If you want information, the contact person is Carole Wentz Assistant to the Director (408) 554-4439 or cwentz@scu.edu.

I get the sense that SCU information is being sent out in a somewhat sporadic fashion, so your daughter may hear something in the coming weeks. This is definitely an atypical year for college admissions!

We called the office, learned that daughter had been admitted to the Honors Program, and that a letter was sent early in February (didn't receive it here). The office will send it again. Ms. Wentz is very helpful, and doesn't mind telling you over the phone if she knows that you'll be admitted (or not) to the program.
