has anyone gotten into the honors program yet or do u guys know when tech notifies us about honors program acceptance? i got into tech for class of '13 back in december and i had my application evaluated for tech honors.

I received my notification of acceptance in December and I know several others have received theirs as we'll. However, their website officially states the following:

"How and when will I know if I've been selected for the Honors Program?

The Honors Program sends letters of invitation to students selected for the program on a rolling basis, beginning in March and continuing through early June. A substantial number of the invitations typically come after May 1, the deadline for students admitted to Georgia Tech to indicate their intention to matriculate."

I would assume Tech offers positions in the honors program on a rolling basis to a certain number of applicants in an attempt to get them to choose Tech, and after May 1, when they know who has chosen Tech and who hasn't, they fill the remaining spots. So it is entirely possible you could receive and invitation in May or June, but since you were admitted in December and have not yet received an invitation I would not expect to get one before May.

Congrats on admission! Best of luck!

email received this week, letter came in the mail today. Email inviting to apply received in mid January - PSP semi-finalist.

yeah I was accepted to the school in mid-december, then sent in the "application" for honors, got accepted into it like 3 weeks later. It's on a rolling basis for sure, just depends on them how much time it takes

thanks guys, looks i'll just keep waiting...
