Honors Program?

Who made it? How do you know?

And how difficult is it to get into it if you're not in it as an incoming freshman?

(College of Engineering)

I wanna join to!

I got in. It came in a letter in the mail around March 2. It announced that I was a Regents Scholar and automatically in the honors program.

Congrats but it doesn't help our case.

Stats please! Seems kinda random from my unscientific analysis.

I was shocked because my stats aren't that great, but here they are:
UC GPA (capped): 4.4
SAT: 2080
SAT II: BioM (790), Math IIC (730)

Question-D got into Honors Program, it was on her admissions web site today but she never received a letter or anything, did most people get letters or is that a different honors like Regents or Chancellors? Thanks

That's weird. I got a letter, but I didn't see it on my admissions web site. I'm going to check again. The letter I received was for Regents.

Nevermind... it says "College Honors Program: Congratulations, you are admitted."

where does it say that?

Near the top where it summarizes your admission status.

Dang. I was hoping I just couldn't see it. Haha. Oh well.

I got into honors with not so hot stats, don't think i am going to SB.

3.8 UC
33 ACT
700, 720
special circumstances, killer essays

^^Well,if you don't go can I take your spot in the program? Hah, I wish.

Haha, I would if I could. Honors seems pretty cool, but it is probably mostly just fluff, so I don't think you will be missing out on too much.

Well the main reason I'm interested in it is being able to pick classes earlier.

Stats: 4.17 UC GPA
4.36 W GPA
SAT: 1990
SAT IIs: 600 Math II and 580 Physics

I think I may have gotten it if it weren't for my bad SAT II scores (which I blame on that stupid barking/whining dog outside of the test room).

Me too...my SATs are horrid. GPA: 4.16 UC, weighted normal 4.3

I got in the Honors program.

SAT: 2210; GPA: 4.0 weighted, 3.7 unweighted (not UC GPA)

It seems pretty hard to get or maintain in college, even if you were accepted first year. You have to maintain a 3.5 and do community service. I bet if you meet these requirements you'll be accepted once in college. There's a whole section of the website about the Honors Program and exactly what it entails.

What type of community service opportunities are there around campus?

I got regents and honors for comp E with not very good stats lol.

4.17 UC gpa, SAT1 2170, 800 math 2, 780 chem
