Honors Program

Should I apply to the Honors Program at TCNJ if I already got into a "better" school?
The application is due on Thursday and I would still need two teacher recommendations different from my others. And an essay. Is this a waste of my time?

If you know for sure that even if you get into the Honors Program you won’t attend, then why bother. If not, then it can’t hurt if in the end you may still attend TCNJ. Better to be safe than sorry.

That’s just it, I’m not sure. I want to say I would go to the other school, but a lot might depend on FA and I will not know until too late. :(

idk, I’m not in honors, but it doesn’t seem worth it to me. The only difference is that honors students usually live in Cromwell and have to take 5 honor classes, which make you do more work that their non-honor equivalents.

So far in my experience the honors courses haven’t been that much more difficult. I’ve only taken honors chem so far but my friends have taken other honors courses and I haven’t heard them complaining. in chem for example we may go a little more in depth than the non honors sections but we’re doing the same labs as them every week. Honestly, I’ve got friends who are not in honors who work just as hard if not sometimes more than me. I guess it all depends on the course load that you’re taking. You can also complete the requirements by doing honors by contract, study abroad type stuff, etc.

HazelEyez Can I PM you a question? Thanks!
