I got a letter saying I got accepted into the Engineering and Applied Sciences.
Is that different than the Honors Program? If so, is it too late to apply for the honors program?

You’ve been accepted into the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences. That’s the overall Engineering college.

The Engineering Honors Program (EHP) was a separate application and unfortunately the deadline was March 1.

I would ask the EHP director if you can apply next year.

It says, “Applications received after March 1st, 2010, will be at a competitive disadvantage.” So is it still too late to apply?

What if I talk to the EHP director for more information…etc

Where do general E & A.S. live? Andrews Hall?

Andrews Hall is reserved for EHP students, and some other programs such as BOLD.

I was informed I was admitted on March 31st, but I’d still contact the EHP director for more information and see if you can still apply. I know that they have a wait-list as well.

As for every engineering student, they live dispersed throughout the dorms. There is an Engineering Quad with just engineers that you can sign-up for, but a lot of people select their favorite dorm, etc.

What sort of comparison remarks would you make when comparing the two (EHP and E&A.S)?

What are the major differences is what I mean.

And does EHP include Computer Sciences?

If you are in the Engineering Honors Program you are in the College of Engineering and Applied Science as well. It is supplemental program if you want to pursue more rigorous research, etc.

I am pretty sure that the EHP includes Computer Science as it is included in the College of Engineering and Applied Science itself. Contact the director for verification.

I’m only an admitted/confirmed student like you so I have no first-hand experience of the differences between Non-Engineering Honors and Engineering Honors. I would take a look at the Engineering Honors website to get a feel of what the program is like.
