This might be a stupid question but I am really confused about the Honors Program's AP Credit Policy. I went to the information session and all they said about ap credits was they could only be used for 6 of the general education credit. The other 9 would have to be taken again through the Honors options. What does that exactly mean?

45 credits for your honors diploma MUST be “Honors” courses - that is, taught by the department.

You can find more info here: [UW Honors - Honors Core Curriculum - for students entering Autumn 2010 and after](The Honors Curriculum | University of Washington Honors Program)

(Quote)
Students must take:
one Honors arts/humanities course (VLPA)
one Honors social science course (I&S)
three Honors science or math courses (NW)
one Honors interdisciplinary course (various combinations of I&S, VLPA, and NW)
three additional Honors courses from any category
