what are the honors programs about I know you get to take honors classes, but does that give you a better GPA, like how they do it in high school? also, is it possible get in if you are not initially invited? what requirments are they and approximately when do they make the judgement?

In the honors programs, several of your courses will be honors level classes. For example, in the Global Business Honors Program, two out of five of your classes are honors courses. Honors classes are taken with other students from the honors cohort. These classes do not result in a weighted or higher GPA because there are not “quality” points as there are in high school.

If you are not initally invited into either the Rose Hill or College of Business Honors Program there are a number of other honor opportunities in which you can become involved. Some of these programs include the honors thesis, Boyle Society, and the Matteo Ricci Society.

There are no specific requirements to be admitted as an incoming freshman into the Rose Hill or College of Business Honors Programs. Typically, the top percentage of students are invited into the program on the basis of the application review.
