honors question

i hav a coupl questions about lsa honors.

1) i never wrote that essay to be considered for honors, and i got an acceptance letter yesterday. could they have made a mistake, or do i now have to write an essay?

2) if i really did make it, then im kinda screwed cuz i never counted on getting in cuz i didnt write that essay, so i completed the housing app a while back. is there any way to edit the app at this point, or no?

btw, i didnt get an email informing me of my acceptance, only a letter. thanks for ur input.

The essay wasn't necessary to be consider, it only gave one first consideration. If you're in, you're in. They also only send letters, I believe. I think if you call the housing department or whatever you can tell them that you're now going to opt for honors housing, but I'm obviously not sure how that works. That's all I can suggest.

Yeah only 70% of those people who are a part of LSA Honors write essays. You would be in the other 30%.So there is no need to write ane essay now. Of course if you do not want to join the program you can withdraw from it.

If you do not want to live in Honors Housing then you do not have to do anything. If you do - then contact Housing and explain that you have just been admitted into the Honors program they will sort it out. You'l most probably be living in South Quad if so.
