Hey everyone

I’m an incoming Buckeye (main campus) and I didn’t make it to the honors program.
I have a question: When am I allow to apply to the honors program?
I do know that the GPA cut off is 3.4 during the school year but I don’t know which school year or quarter. I also want to get in because I didn’t apply for the scholars program because I didn’t even bother to apply because I was for sure at the time that I didn’t want to go to OSU. I just did the basic req. just to get in.

It depends on what college you are enrolled in. For instance, Arts and Sciences has different honors requirements than engineering or business...

Ok, How about the arts and sciences? Or, where can I find the information because I can't find it on the university website.

"Ohio State students who are not yet enrolled in an honors program, as well as students transferring to Ohio State from another university or college, must meet with an honors counselor to discuss application to the Arts and Sciences Honors Program. The counselor will determine whether a student is eligible for membership via application or must submit, and receive approval for, an Honors Contract or thesis proposal prior to admission to the program. Most students will be required to submit an Honors Contract or the official paperwork for the senior thesis to be considered for admission.

Students admitted to the Arts and Sciences Honors Program will receive the University Honors designation and will receive priority for course registration, honors housing, research conferences, and special campus events."

Additionally:

"The Honors Program accepts transfer students as well as current students that have been at Ohio State for at least 2 quarters who meet the requirements in their discipline."

That's from the Arts and Sciences website and the Honors and Scholars Center website, respectively.
