Just got the email I was accepted to the honors program! Didn’t expect to hear so soon. Anyone else?

Congrats! I got into today too!

Did you get anything about interviewing for the major scholarships? I didn’t get anything yet.

Nope, nothing about scholarships yet. I just got an email. It said more information would be coming in the mail.

Congratulations! Did the e-mail come to your OSU e-mail or the address you used to send app?

Got the email today too, but I’m still waiting for scholarship info. Definitely not going w/o them though, out-of-state tuition is wayyy more than I’m willing to pay haha.

Congrats to everyone! Got the email that I got into honors at 4:00pm today I think scholarships will be more towards march. I know the morril scholarship said a notification should be expected the first week of march

I got the acceptance e-mail today too! CONGRATS TO EVERYONE! I got a bit of scholarship info in the mail (Maximus and National Buckeye) a week ago, but nothing about Morrill yet.

(PS. this is daughter posting on mom’s account!)

Did anyone get notification for any of the Scholars programs or just the Honors program?

Rugbydad: Got Maximus and National Buykeye scholarships. I think what you’re asking about is Morrill Scholars. From what I’ve heard, that won’t come out for a while longer.

None of my friends who applied for scholars programs heard yet.

Thx Soccerdude. Congrats on getting into Honors!

My son got the email yesterday about getting in the Honors and Scholars program. He is still waiting to hear on any scholarships. We are OOS. Does anyone know when he will/might hear about scholarships? I would assume that if he is qualified for H & S he would qualify scholarships as well. Obviously, I could be wrong. He won’t be attending with no scholarship as he has scholarships to all his other schools.

Does anyone know of any objective numbers statistics for the admitted tOSU Honors students (past years are fine)? I am curious as to how this group stacks up numbers-wise compared to Michigan’s overall student data set.

In the past, there was a statistical qualification benchmark for honors (test scores), but that is not on the website any longer - anyone remember those numbers?

I believe last year one needed an ACT of 30 as well as top 10% class rank to qualify for Honors. My son thought that they changed to an application to offer the program to kids who really wanted to be there enough to write some essays.

Has anyone heard that they’ve been accepted into Scholars? And how are you hearing? OSU e-mail or address used on application? Thanks and Congratulations!

Email used on the application.

So if OSU sent my S emails and a letter after getting his original application encouraging him to apply for H & S saying he would be an ideal candadite-are his chances good? We sent in the H & S application at the end of November. I know it was after they looked at his app because they had the user ID number they assigned to him on the letter. He was admitted to main campus on November 23.

Their website doesn’t indicate that they have set requirements for H & S and anyone can apply.

SS received notice yesterday that he was accepted into Honors program. No word yet on scholarship money.

Nervousnellie, I’d say it’s a good sign but not a guarantee. SS received that correspondence also, so I think it’s encouraging.

Congrats to all who have been accepted into Honors…anyone heard about Scholars yet???

My daughter found out yesterday she was admitted to the university. She sent in her H & S application last night, and just received an email that she was admitted to the Scholars program! That was fast!!! Wish all decisions could be that fast!
