Honors vs AP classes...PLEASE ANSWER!!

Hi,

So, I'm a junior in high school, and lately, I've been thinking of the rigor of my schedule. By senior year, I would've taken 5 APs total. It isn't a lot, but I also would've taken MANY MANY honors classes, which would boost my GPA.

How do colleges view this? I know honors don't hold the same value as APs, but I'm just wondering where honors classes stand?

Thank you!

Top colleges like to see that you’re taking the most rigorous schedule available to you. Do that, unless that means you will burn yourself out…in that case, do slightly less than that.

As long as you are taking a rigorous course load in high school, colleges will consider it “good.” APs and Honors generally get similar views depending on the high school as some schools don’t have APs or Honors while others do.
