Honors vs. Regular

Is there a big difference between the honors bio or chem and the regular principles class?

Does it make a difference with Med. schools?

thanks!

If you had a choice, I think that you would be better off taking the honors courses. I've heard that the regular principles classes have a very large number of students, while the honors classes have much less. The benefit of the latter is that you can develop better relationships with your professors and thus get better recommendations for Med school.

There's not a huge difference - the Honors section goes a little more indepth, and their tests have a short-answer/essay portion.

I doubt taking the Honors section is going to help you build relationships with the professors. Lectures for both Honors and regular are done on a rotating basis, so you'll see some of the professors only five times.

I wanted to take the Honors section, but it didn't fit into my schedule, so I took the regular one. It didn't hurt my MCAT score at all. :D

Ah, right. I overlooked that bit. :p
