Honors Weekend March 11-12

I am going to visit Tulane on March 11-12 for the honors weekend. I was wondering how many people (boys & girls) are going to go that weekend… Also, does anyone know when we will receive more information about the schedule those days? Like how do we sign up to visit the classes? Any information would be great! Thanks!

anyone

Lol, it seems like you’ll be better off emailing someone who’s coordinating the event.

I’m going too!! I was wondering the same things too lol  Let me know if you find out!

I doubt anyone will have information regarding how many boys and girls will be going to at Honors Weekend. The US is 51% female so I guess it’ll be around that. Spring semester just started at Tulane so give them a month to coordinate the events. You can look at past schedules for references. I’m sure there will be information soon. You can always contact the honors office for more information.

When we went last year it seemed like we always ran into someone on the Trolly heading to it as well. I believe honors is offered to the top 10%, roughly so that should give you some indication. If I remember, when we registered we were given a schedule of events and classes that DS could sit in on. He also registered for his fall classes and met with some advisors. I met with financial aid and wandered campus while he sat in classes and did registration. Every time we have been there, there have been tours happening. Top Scholars lets you experience a little more of campus though.

Also, we didn’t have to sign up for classes before hand. We were given a list of classes, locations and times that the students would be welcome at. Only disappointment was we were there on Monday and the math class DS wanted to preview wasn’t being taught that day.

thank you!!! that helped a lot! so there were a lot of people that your DS met that day? how many people roughly do u think went? @threebeans

We went with my daughter to the honors program two years ago. She is a sophomore now. One of the programs was in McAlister auditorium and it was pretty full with students and parents. It seats, I think, they said 2000 people.
