Is information about honors included in the admission packet, or it is forthcoming? I didn't receive one in my admissions packet, and I'm a bit confused as I have been admitted to honors at all of the other schools I have heard back from, including ones that I thought had more stringent admissions than Fordham-Rose Hill. $10,000 Dean's scholarship was a nice reward though :) I'm positive that I won't be attending Fordham as I got into one of my top-choice schools two weeks ago, but I was just wondering about the honors information. My class rank is 2/334 and my SAT is 1530/2330, with the hardest academic rigor my school offers, so I was a bit confused as to have not received an invitation at least to apply to honors.

I was wondering about this, too. I have similar stats as yours. 1550/2280 SAT and 1/155 class rank, and I haven’t heard anything, though it seems like others have.

The Fordham honors program is ~20 people a year for each campus, so don’t expect to get in. I’m fairly certain letters went out a while ago. Someone in or accepted to the program will add more information, I’m sure.

I got my letter in the beginning of February for LC. Apparently only about 16 people are in each year. It was made pretty clear to me that admission is based on “desire to learn”, and not “stats”. My stats are lower than both of your’s (33 ACT/2190 SAT). I did have a 1/78 class rank however, and a 4.0. I think it had more to do with the fact that I founded the debate team at my school, will have taken 60+ credits of dual enrollment at my local state college (incuding classes similar to the honors program, like a western civ series and some philosophy classes). At the college where I dual-enrolled, I also became the youngest pres. in the history of our chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. But I hardly got any money b/c my stats aren’t very high so unless that changes I won’t be able to attend, so maybe a spot will open up for you.

We talked to the honors people on Monday, and they said that some invitations had gone out but that they were still making decisions. He suggested that if you’re interested you might write them a letter explaining why you think you should be considered. Good luck!
