Can anyone tell me about the Honors program? Would a 28 ACT, 3.5 GPA (unweighted) get me in? How separate is the Honors Program? Is it social or just a bunch of classes? Do most of the kids in it live in Honors Dorms?

Your gpa is fine for the Honors program. I don't know what ACT score is required. I'm sure you could find that information on the website.

The Honors Program is both academic and social. Some students choose to live in the Honors dorm; others don't. My son did live in that dorm his freshman year, but is not this year, as he is an RA. And he may, in fact, not stay in the program, since he is a music major and not taking that many honors classes. (You have to take a certain number to stay in the program.)

The program allows you to have first choice of classes when you register, I believe. There are many special honors school classes offered, as well as honors classes within the different schools. There are also activities offered, although my son did not choose to participate in many of them. I don't know a lot of the details, but it is definitely worth looking into. They do offer additional scholarships, too.
