Anyone out there get accepted into the Honors Program? Got my acceptance today...Still wondering about scholarships though.

yup, i got into the honors program OOS from California...I am REALLY wondering about scholarships too, especially cause the cost for out-of-state is pretty high.

yep..i'm out of state (Georgia) and got into honors but still havent heard anything about scholarships...I applied for the Pogue Scholarship and didn't get it, so i dk.

Yes, I'm waiting on scholarship news (in-state).

I too am waiting anxiously for the scholarship info because the tution is pricey for OOSers like me.

Got my Honors acceptance OOS

Obviously, not all students accepted into the honors program and/or who receive scholarships will attend UNC. What happens to those spots? Do they give them away to other students who have accepted admission...perhaps by the end of May? Anyone know?

Hopefully....considering that I'm in-state and would have known by now if I had got in. :-P
If not, you can also apply as a second-semester freshman or over the summer for your sophmore year and take honors classes as a regular student provided you have a good GPA and there's room.

I don't think these Honors program invites are "spots." They are enticements to draw top applicants to UNC. As such, they won't recycle Honors invites that were turned down.

But don't they have 200 Honors kids in every class? That sounds spot-ty to me.

they estimate using previous yield rates
