Don't prep at all. Seriously.

For the June test, I studied my brains out and attended a prep course regularly. Got a 2220.

I just took the November test under the following circumstances:

didn't prep at all (as in, didn't ever open an SAT book or even go to Sparknotes.)

Went to a crazy Halloween party the night before and didn't go to bed until 2 am.

Result? I feel 100% confident that I did better in every section, specifically math and the essay.

Hypothesis? If you stop worrying about idioms and angles, you feel more relaxed and comfortable while testing and score better as a result!

Agreed. I went out on Halloween until about 1:30 and woke up at about 7:30 feeling fine. I fell asleep during the breaks, though. :<

this isn’t very good advice lol. some people are more vulnerable and require a good night sleep (like me)

Lol I didn’t, because I brought Reese’s Cups and Nutrigrain bars!!! Nutrigrain FTW! lol

haha I guess it does depend on the person, but I quite literally have not gotten more than 6-7 hours of sleep for at least 4 months or so (between school and social life), so it doesn’t affect me.

But I completely stand by my relaxation comment. Stress killed me. In the end, you’ll either know some random vocab word or you won’t. Big deal.

Me too–for the past week I’ve gotten about 3 hours of sleep per day (+1~2 during classes/naps at home) because of late night AIM fun and general joyousness! D:

haha mine was moreso due to my participation in 3 different ECs that all require 10 hours a week, as well as a full courseload
