Waitlisted for real now... it's ok guys, we're strong. We'll get in to other places and be happy, I am sure, no matter where we go. I know it sounds corny, but I think since people are over half the college experience and good people are everywhere, you can pretty much be happy anywhere. Anyways, congrats to those accepted, I feel your pain those that were waitlisted or rejected. ((HUGS))

Yeah I am for sure waitlisted - there is a link for a full-length letter about it on mine.

I have been waitlisted

am i the only one who knows that we should totally and completely seperate our self-worth from these decisions but still feels slightly worthless getting waitlisted

^^^ hehehe.... confusing post :D

worst thing is, my school had a rally today

had to celebrate even though i got wait listed

a good friend of mine received a "wait list" letter online from washington university. that's so weird. she already got three likely letters from cornell, yale, and stanford. considering washington university as her safety school, shouldn't washington university give her admission?

^^ WashU wait-lists a lot of applicants who tries to use them as a safety school. No school likes being a safety.

Edited because I can't spell : (

whoa, why did so many people get waitlisted?

Waitlists don't count into their acceptance rates. I'm not implying anything, but you can draw your own conclusions.

well, how many people are generally accepted off of the waitlist?

HopefulDove, read up on yield protection, which is sometimes called the "Tufts Syndrome".

I'm officially waitlisted as well.

waitlist for me as well....

yield protection is a bad thing...........

i got waitlisted too...where can i find statistics on acceptance for waitlisted applicants??

this sucks.

waitlisted
