After receiving my acceptance packet three weeks ago, I found a rejection letter on my mailbox.

Dear Sam,

We have arrived at the end of our application review period, and I am sorry to say that we are unable to offer you a space in this year's entering class.

blah blah..

But in the same mail box, there was another mail sent by USC!!

Dear Sam,

Congratulations on your acceptance to USC's College of Letter, Arts & Sciences and, on behalf of the College, welcome to our community of scholars.

Oooookay.

I am really confused

am I rejected or accepted?

I already received a fat packet that has housing and meal informations and other stuffs.

Then it's a good thing that your name is John Doe, and not John John Doe. lol :)
If you did send the same app w/ the same credentials twice, it's wierd how one was rejected; maybe it's some sort of name discrimination.
See you next fall!

Instead of calling, doesn't it seem safer for "John" to simply send in his forms? Forget about "John John" .....he'll have to attend somewhere else!
