Just went to look at website and on the header where Admission and other info is listed, I saw the section "Land Grant". A lot of interesting info about how the land grant schools came into existance and the relationship of Cornell and the citizens on NY State.

Not really- but there have been dozens of discussions about the "state schools" at Cornell. Most of the discussions have been based on alot of incorrect information - equating the state funded programs at Cornell with SUNY. The land grand section of the website gives the history of the 3 colleges and its relationship to the people of NY State. I very fine and worthy history that Cornell should be extremely proud of.
With all these discussions over the past few years, I am surprised no one else connected the info to the land grant section of the website.
Maybe it has always been there (but I am not too sure about that). But I am surprised no one ever brought that into a discussion about ILR-CALS- or Human Ec. when there has been discourse on the state funded colleges at Cornell vs. SUNY.
And we all know that has been a topic of discussion (often heated) on these boards over the past few years.
