Hey guys, i am confused as to how hope would work after i transfer. Right now i have hope with a 3.75 gpa but after i transfer my gpa at tech will start from blank since they dont use the old institutions gpa. Once i am enrolled at tech will my new gpa from tech be calculated with my old hope gpa to find the new hope gpa or will techs new gpa be my hope gpa? For example suppose i transfer with a 3.75 gpa which is my current hope gpa. If after my first semester i end up with a 2.8 or a 2.7 at tech will that be averaged with my old hope hgpa(3.75) or will that 2.7 or 2.8 be my new hope gpa..thus kicking me off hope.

When you transfer, all courses (old university and new university) count towards your HOPE GPA calculation. However, only classes taken at Georgia Tech count towards your Georgia Tech GPA (the one given to employers).

oh that’s really great…i was afraid that if i get a low gpa my first semester il be dropped from hope immediately. Thanks a lot!
