Hope this is not the wrong thread...but chances for transfer?

Wasn't sure if I should have put this in the transfer thread or the chances thread..but I put it in here. Please chance me even if I posted this in the incorrect thread.

Some basic information...
Got into some colleges (UCI, UCSB, waitlisted at BC, USC) but took a year off after HS to work for a small firm I interned at during HS.
Was going to work longer but didn't want to be too old when I graduated college so.. started my first semester at a community college.

Pulling a decent, but not great GPA of 3.69 (3 A's 1 B) this semester. I'm in the honors program and taking 3 honors courses. It is a projected GPA but unless I totally bomb the finals that will be my gpa.

I know it would be probably better to transfer next year as my HS grades aren't that good
but, I really don't like community college life...so transferring this year, is a priority for me.

My HS stats were
GPA 3.5 or 3.6 weighted
SAT 2120 \ 1520
SAT2 2220
APs 3s on four tests

CCC GPA: 3.69 (FA 09)
27 units completed at end of spring.
Not taking any "joke" classes.

Applying as a Classics major
So..my big list of colleges that I need help narrowing down..
I tried categorizing them by acceptance rate..*did i do it correctly?

(Far reach)
Brown
Penn
Cornell
UChicago
Pomona
(Reach)
Georgetown
Northwestern
Claremont Mckenna
(Match)
Columbia GS
USC
Emory

Read a bunch a threads on GS..so what seemed like the general consensus was..while columbia classes and getting a columbia degree..its viewed somewhat less prestigious than columbia college or SEAS. I guess it's natural since it has a 40-50% transfer rate..
**so.. how much less prestigious? i know i know, don't choose a college based on prestige...but yea what colleges in my list should I "definitely" go over Columbia GS?

All the schools on my list I would be really happy to go to, but as they are $65 a pop I only want to apply to 5-8 ish..

***would I be safe (ie get into at least 2 choices) if I applied to 2 far reach schools , 3 reach schools, and 2 match schools? or can I narrow it down more? (would probably take Northwestern and USC out)

which would be..
Brown
Penn
Georgetown
Claremont McKenna
Northwestern
Columbia GS
USC
