<p>I'm not going to be asking for financial aid to the schools that I apply to transfer to. Does that also mean that, if a school really wants you to attend, they won't offer any scholarships or extra money b/c you didn't apply for financial aid? Or does that not affect scholarships and such?</p>
<p>You did not ask a dumb question, you simply asked a question that you did not know the answer to.</p>
<p>It depends on the school and you are really going to have to carefully read the FA section as it pertains to transfer students. While there may be some schools were you will be eligible for scholarships, some that are not need based, many schools do not offer scholarships to transfer students as they are usually reserved for freshmen to woo them from other schools.</p>
<p>If you request that you need no aid, there is an assumption that you are willing to be a full freight paying student who does not need money.</p>
