Hopeful Engineering Major with a low Gpa and Avg. SATs!

<p>Gpa - 83 - School does not convert - Should have been at least 87 or 88
SATs - Math 670 - CR 530 - Writing 480 8 Essay - 1200/1600 - 1680/2400
Rank - 152/295, pretty good high school in NY just outside NYC
Schedule -
Math - 5 years Algebra, Geometry, Trig, Pre-calc, and Calc - 3 years Honors
Science - 4 years Earth, Bio, Chem, and Physic - 2 years Honor
English - 4 years basic english
Social Studies - 4 years Global 1 and 2, US Hist, Econ
Spanish - 3 years - 1 year Honors
Electives - Architecture, Comp Aid Design, Engineering, and Technical Drawing</p>

University of Delaware
Penn State University
University of Massachusetts
SUNY Stony Brook
University of Maryland: Baltimore County, not college park. - Safety I think, I have family that lives 10 min away.</p>

<p>I don’t know those schools too well, but I think you have a good shot at all of them. I looked up PSU’s stats and your reading is on the 25th percentile, but your math is on the 75th percentile, which is great. I can’t say for sure, but I believe you’ll get in there and the other ones too.</p>

<p>I don’t know any of these schools…but i suggest you go to mychances dot net and make a profile. Put it all your gpa, ECs, SAT, APs, class rank, etc and the colleges you are applying to and the website will calculate your % chance of getting in based on past profiles of admitted applicants. I hope it helps because it really helped me. </p>
