Hello everybody! I live in Virignia, and am dreaming of attending UVA for undergrad. I really would like to know what my chances are of getting in with my current status:

GPA
Freshman: 4.85
Sophomore: 5.02
Junior: Around a 5.13
I am almost certain I am in top 10%, if not Valedictorian. 4.0 Unweighted.
My SAT score came in a bit low at 1830
4 Years of French
Can read/write/speak French and English, speak Lebanese accented Arabic fluently, and read/write Armenian.
I am in Beta, National Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta
Have about 60+ hours of community service, do a lot of church work.
2nd degree Black belt, play piano
If it counts any, Arab in ethnicity.
I have taken AP US History, AP Chem, and AP English, and plan on taking AP Biology, AP English 12, AP Computer Science, AP Physics B, AP Government, and AP Calculus next year.

Do I have a serious shot at getting in to UVA? What do I need to work on?

I think you’re a match… especially being middle eastern. Maybe try to improve your SAT scores. But you can most likely get in, apply to some other schools too.

I’d like to attend university of Chicago. Love Chicago, pretty city! Also maybe NYU? Also applying for American University of Beirut (I’d possibly like to go back to my homeland, my family immigrated to the states to avoid the lebanese civil war. Plus, AUB is medically accredited in the states, so I won’t have to redo things here.)

Bump…
for those of you who broke over 2000 on your SAT, how did you prepare for it? I only took mine once and got 1830 my first try, how do I better prepare myself for the SAT? I bombed the math section pretty bad.
