i feel as if SATs scores are the only thing that are stopping me from getting into a good college - i have my hopes set on UPenn and Tufts....
Im graduating within the top 2% of my class and I am an IB student. As far as GPA, leadership, extracurriculars, etc. I have those in the bag. The only thing is...I am not the best test taker.
I need some serious advice and test taking tips that have WORKED to get above a 1400 on this dreaded exam.
I need to know the myths of what people "thinK" are good SAT strategies and what strategies actually work.
Im taking the exam for the last time in october, so i have one last chance to get the score that I want, and that I need!

if your SATs are the only thing that needs improvement, then you're really not doomed.

Have you taken practice tests yet? What's the score you've been getting for those?

one thing in your favor is that you've taken it before. I believe that SATs are SOOO much easier the second time around, because you've already been through it.

Also, practice tests, and space them out. Do one every two weeks between now and October. You should be able to get 6 in. And start learning 3 vocab words every day. You could use dictionary.com's word of the day emails and one of the many vocab lists available online. Or you could study words you didn't know on practice tests.

If you want anything more specific, post your weaknesses.
