Hopefully transfer to UC Berkeley for L&S CS B.A. Can you tell me my chances???

I am applying to transfer to next here are my stats as of right now. Cumulative transferable GPA: 3.68 Major GPA: 4.0. Overall GPA will hopefully go up after this semester because I will finish linear algebra and differential equations (On track for A). I am taking CIS 61a at Berkeley over the summer to not only experience the school but also get some credit that I ca perform at the institution (Is this class difficult/ is it worth taking?). For EXTRA CURRICULARS: I had a year long internship at an established tech company that specialized in network security where I built out the backend for one of their services, the head of engineering has given me a letter of rec even though I know that I can’t use it for UC’s. Due to privacy reasons, I will not wish to release the company name. I have also volunteered as a teacher for Girls Who Code, done tutoring on weekends and worked on personal projects several of which are currently on the Apple app store. I have also mentored at several hackathons including Cal Hacks. Im hoping to rais my GPA to at least a 3.75 by the time I apply during the fall. UC Berkeley has been my dream for the past 2 years and have worked to the best of my ability. Can anyone offer constructed criticism on what to improve on and what my chances are of getting in? Thanks!

https://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/infocenter/transfers-major indicates that 2015 transfer admits to UCB L&S CS had 25th-75th percentile GPA of 3.79-4.00, with a 7% admit rate.

Note that, if you are admitted and enroll, you must complete the remaining prerequisites at UCB with a 3.30 GPA to declare the L&S CS major, according to https://eecs.berkeley.edu/academics/undergraduate/cs-ba . If you earn an A or A+ in CS 61A at UCB, that should help.

I have already completed CIS 22C at De Anza with an A which equates to CIS 61B at Berkley. Would I still have to take that class for major admission? @ucbalumnus That is why I am taking 61A so half the requirements will be met.

@hopefullTransfer

You actually haven’t completed the CS 61B at the Berkeley yet.

NOTE: Students must also complete UCB COMPSCI 47B at Berkeley to satisfy @hopefullTransfer
