I am sobbing and crying as I am posting this thread so please read carefully......
For the past 7 years, I lost my smile. Family issue did not cease and it is still torturing me. I have been diagnosed with depression Im here if I have a chance to get into good college. I used to dream one of the ivy leagues but now im done.

gpa: freshman 3.27, sophomore, 3.44 junior 3.67 (2 AP)
no ap provided before junior year
SAT: 2150, hopeless
SAT 2: 800 math, 770 Bio and 800 USH

EC: I don't want to explain too much about extracur: I have 2 leadership club, secretary of debate team and mun , self-research team and summer program at duke, UNC, and brown

I think im hopeless. Now im rising senior and i just messed everything up. Even if i want to apply to ivy league, my father won't let me because he thinks its waste of money. I just want to be free from my parents, but i can't. I attempted suicide twice because of them.

Just with my current stat what college can I possible go.....

There are plenty of colleges that you can still attend. Your SAT scores aren’t hopeless and are in the range for the top colleges (albeit the lower end of the ranges but still within them.) Your SAT scores and subject tests scores are actually high and near perfects. The GPA is really the only problem with the ivy league colleges. Moreover, there are plenty of good colleges IVY LEAGUES ARE NOT THE ONLY GOOD COLLEGES!!!

Utilize the collgeboard’s college search to see which colleges you would fit for: <a href=“College Search - BigFuture | College Board”>https://bigfuture.collegeboard.org/college-search

Use usnew’s rankings to find a college that is still in the top: http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-colleges/rankings/national-universities

Besides you shouldn’t pick a college based on its level of prestige you should pick a college that is BEST for you, that will foster a community that will help you enjoy your college experience.

Read these articles: http://www.usnews.com/education/best-colleges/right-school?s_cid=content-center:college-hp

Many colleges would still accept you so you can definitely end up being free from your counselors. IMO I think you should talk with a guidance counselor or some sort of counselor about your feelings.

An SAT of 2150 is not hopeless. Whoever told you that is someone you need to stop paying attention to.

As for the notion that an Ivy education is the only way to be happy, well you need to drop that too. Your GPA, test scores, and ECs will get you into many of the 3,000 colleges and universities in the US, some that are fully Ivy-peers in quality. Find out what your parents will commit to pay for your education, and work on a list that is realistically affordable.

If you are a US applicant, your GPA and test scores qualify you for Automatic Full Ride scholarships at a number of places, and make you competitive for others. If you get your own money for your education, it won’t matter one bit what your parents think.

Lastly (well maybe this should have been first), do your best to pull yourself together and go get some help with your depression. Until that is under control, nothing in your life will look as good as it really is.

You have good stats to get into good schools, but if you insist that only the very tippy top are good enough for you then that is boxing yourself into a corner. (Oh, I can’t ride in lowly Lexus or BMW, only Lamborgini or Limousines will do for me) Forget the Ivies, your father is right, you are not going to get in. The good news is that there are many, many excellent colleges that you will like as much or better and will do what college is supposed to do, educate you and help you mature as a person and find your dream life. Going to the college isn’t the dream life. That is just 4 years. There are many people living their dream life that did not go to Ives. (I was just reading some comments one Professor of CS at Brown University made about how grateful that Ohio Wesleyan gave him a scholarship and now he is living his dream life.) Spend your time learning about how really good other colleges are. Because you have such a strong SAT, the one you think is so hopeless, you have a good chance other places. It is the grades that are your main problem. But you will get into a good college. And you will have plenty of freedom from your parents when you get there.

If you don’t have a Fiske Guide, go and and get one right away and do some reading of the schools where your gpa and SAT match. You might also like Colleges That Change Lives, and they have a website too. Stop thinking that unattainable goals are the only way to be happy. Work on your treatment. Use this forum as it is meant, for search and selection. You should be in search mode right now. There’s a whole world out there you don’t even know about.

OK, I see that after all the pity party you did ask what colleges you can go to, but there are so many, you will have to narrow it down. What state are you in, how much money can your parents pay, do you know what you want to study, do you know what sort of environment or culture you want, big, small, rural, urban. all that. What do you even like? I still think you need to do some self assessment and reading about some colleges first.
