Hopeless?

Hey everyone, I’m kind of bummed out right now over this. I had a 2.5 last quarter, but so far I have an A in everyone of my classes. I’m a sophomore in highschool, so my question to you is if I do really good in my junior and senior years, do I have any chance of getting into Tisch? See, it’s a 2.5 right now, but I hope to get it up to at least 3.5. I have really good ECs, and I am sure I could get a lot of recommendation letters. What do you all think? Is it a lost cause?

I’ve really got my heart set on going here, and would put it as my ED. I don’t know, should I be setting my sites lower?

It depends on a myriad of things, like what is your course schedule like? If you have a 2.5 in all honors or ap, and you manage to get that up to a 3.5...thats not bad (its what I had). Its a whole package thing, there are stories here of people who had a whole range of grades/ecs/sats etc. and its not like UM where you have to pass a screening. Work hard, do well in school, show up strong at your auditions (ed wont hurt either, and if you are reaally set on it, accept any studio they give you), and hopefully you will get in. Here's to good luck for you.
