<p>The only college I want to go to is Sonoma State. I have a 2.5 GPA and an 1890 on the SAT with a 10 on the essay. I am the president of AVID club and the football captain of my varsity team. I have been recognized for various writing awards and community service projects. I am concerned because I am not sure if Sonoma will turn the other cheek to my "D+" in french II and "D" througout french 1. I don't think I' getting in and all of my classmates are so it is kind of demoralizing. I have a much higher SAT, however, my GPA is not the calliber theirs is. I guess what everyone says is true, the SAT is overrated. If I don't get accepted it will be a tough blow, but I fell in love with the campus so much that I will do whatever it takes to end up at Sonoma.</p>
<p>kvassalo, I honestly don’t know the admissions policy with the California schools, but it appears like they do take a good number of students within your gpa range. Your SAT is very good and they do need more guys. Also, I know you don’t want to, but you should consider applying to some other schools. I think you would get into a number of them. Best of luck</p>
