Shaywood. I was not intending to be rude. I was simply pointing out the reality of owning a second home, not only for you but also for others who might be reading this thread.

You are a resident of NY State…which has many SUNY schools that would be affordable for your family. Hopefully you have a couple on your application list.

Many acting programs (BFA types) require an audition, and you might qualify for merit/performance aid based on the strength of your audition at some colleges.

If your SAT/ACT scores and GPA are sufficiently strong, you could qualify for merit aid at some places based on those stats. Some of those schools have BA programs in acting that do not require an audition. Check the list for guaranteed merit aid in this forum.

And do those net price calculators for EACH college that you have an interest in applying to. This will give you an estimate only…but it’s at least a place to start.

There are MANY colleges that do NOT cost $60,000 a year to attend. Your instate public universities are less than half of that cost.

As a rising junior…take the PSAT this fall…with some prep going into it. That score is what is used for National Merit consideration…and there are schools where this would be a help to you. Then do well on the SAT and/or ACT…take them in the spring and retake in October of your senior year if needed.

Get the best possible grades you can get.

Your GPA and SAT/ACT scores will be the defining factor in merit awards, and college acceptances too.
