hopkins med school admissions reqs

the website says:
Humanities, Social and Behavioral Sciences- Applicants are required to complete at least 24 semester hours in these disciplines

can AP credit be used to fulfill some of the 24 semester hours, that is, if the school accepts AP credit?

No AP credit will not count and it shouldn't count. JHU wants to see you pursue a liberal arts education. These classes must be taken within the university and should. You're going to take 120 hours (at least) to graduate. Your major will require maybe 30-40 hours. That leaves 80 hours for other classes, some of which should come from the above category.

24 semester hours is something like six classes. Really not a big deal. Take 2 semesters of psych (useful for future doctors anyway), 2 of econ (useful for future doctors anyway), and 2 of English (required by other med schools anyway).

Or some such variation - i.e. polisci for econ, sociology for psych, etc.
