Hopkins Regular Decision is setting up oneself for rejection?

JHU accepts 75% of its class (~900/1200) early decision...comparing with the countless people that apply regular for just 300 spots, doesn't that mean most people applying to JHU reg. will have a lot harder time than ED applicants? It's prob. more selective than HYP in this regard. ***

i am 100000.0% sure Hopkins accepts about 35 % through early decision... about 400... so its 400/1200 roughly equally about 35%

According to their website:

Applicants: 16,012
Admitted: 4,018
Enrolled (projected): 1,235
Admit rate: 25%
Early Decision available? Yes
Early Decision applicants: 994
Mid 50% SAT Total: 2020-2300
Mid 50% SAT CR: 660-760

Based on the above numbers, I'm guessing 35% of the class goes in ED and the rest go in RD.

Oh, I see - I read early decision applicants as ed accepted lol

haha that's a relief=)
