I have been searching for a thread for this years application but haven’t seen one so I figured I would get it going!
Has anyone else applied for the
Horatio Alger Scholarship?
Hoping to at least get some
consideration for this one even if it is
local.
What other scholarships has everyone else applied for?
I’ve applied for Coca Cola(didn’t advance), Ron Brown, Elks Most Valuable, Amazon Student, Burger King Scholars, Jack Kent Cooke and Ronald McDonald. 8-}
I applied for this as well. I applied to the same ones as you @Fuzerabit (and didn’t advance for coca cola), but I forgot about the amazon deadline

The Amazon one was similar to Coca Cola so I’m pretty sure I won’t get it.
I also applied for the GE Reagan scholarship and have to work on the essays for Gates Millenium.
Anyone know a date we can expect to hear by in January?
@ny2020 The website says awardees are notified by January 30th. And only awardees will be notified by mail and email.
If I applied to the national scholarship did that also count as an application to the state scholarships?

Yes the one application is for both state and national. It just depends on how far you advance.

I didn’t either
They called during school and said to call by 4:30.My daughter could not call and then had a 2 hour practice after. They were closed. However, she just opened her email and I she DID GET THE SCHOLARSHIP!!! Good Luck everyone!

Does anyone have any idea when they will announce the state winners? I know they said by the end of the month but I’m dying to find out if I won at the state level now that the national winners were announced.
I forgot about the state level. I assume it will be by the end of the month.
I applied and received the scholarship! I also applied to QB, coca cola, jkc, ronald mcdonald, dell scholars, ge reagan foundation scholarship, beat the odds, engebretson foundation scholarship, burgerking, Posse, buick achievers, and elks.
