horrendous interview answer

question: what would you have to offer at georgetown/why should you be accepted/ something like that i dont really remember.

my answer: uh well obviously everyone else has great academics but I uh........... well i can't think of any reason why they wouldn't like me.

all i had to say was that i would work very hard and would be a good representative of the school. that answer came to me as soon as i stepped outside after the interview ended.

It’s okay. Don’t worry yourself too much over it. The interview is only one part of the application and the interviewers must know how nervous the students are. Seriously, it’s really not that bad of an answer, I’ve heard of worse. If the rest of your application is strong, I doubt one little interview question will make it or break it. How was the rest of your interview?

no, absolutely not. the interview cannot make or break your application. assuming you applied ea, you will find out soon enough, though.

do not fret over one small answer :)

Agreed - don’t make yourself crazy about this. Alumni interviews are of limited importance.

Usually colleges don’t care much about interviews, however Georgetown definitely does (with their emphasis on politics and international relations), and the fact that it was an important question makes me a little concerned.

sorry, lol
