Horrible English Teacher!

I don't know what to do with my English teacher... She's the worst teacher I've ever had!!! She's 25, and she still thinks she's a student... she's too caught up trying to be "cool" with other girls. She NEVER grades papers, and this semester, we only had 3 grade inputs!!! She makes EVERYTHING out of 100 points (YES EVEN 5 question HOMEWORKS!!) because she's to lazy to weigh anything...Also, she NEVER gives out grades because she knows that if she does, EVERYBODY will complain... I've tried talking to my counselor, but he keeps insisting me to work things out with her.. I can't!!! And she thinks I worry too much about school. She even said "You need to realize that there's more to high school than books and pens" in front of the WHOLE class..!! And recently, she lost my QUIZ and gave me a 0/100 on it..which brought down my grade 5%!!! I talked to her, and she said she would look for it over the weekend but I KNOW that she's going to neglect this issue as if my QUIZ was not important. I HOPE SHE GETS FIRED...

I don't think there's much you can ask her to do for you, from the way you described her. Everyone suffers with a bad teacher sometime or other. I'd talk to the principal about her, as counselors can't really do that much. If the principal doesn't do anything, I'd consider dropping the class.

I don't understand, if you got a 0/100 one of three grades how can your average only decrease by 5%.

You should yell at her, explode in the middle of her class, then go complain to the principal or whoever controls the English department.

OK well, giving you a 0/100 is wrong, if they lost the grade, then they should take it out of your average. Also only 3 grades isn't a big deal. Currently there are only 3 grades in my bio class (two tests and homework) and my Bio teacher is the best teacher I have.

Ugh, don't you hate when everyone's like RELAAAXXX you're OVERREAAACTING hahaha i have a really bad english teacher too. He gave me a D on my report card, and when I asked him about it he was like... OH typo sorry haha. you should for sure just formulate a really good argument on why she ticks you off and either send it to her or her supervisor

Try going to the principal or guidance counselor with one or two other students who have the same complaints. It might lend some credibility, if the administration isn't doing anything now.

You know what you should do? Seduce her.

It's a win-win situation all around.

;-)
