Even so, you’re going to need a really wonderful upward trend to be competitive. Stanford is the most selective university in the country. Lots of people get rejected from these schools with perfect unweighted GPAs and test scores and ECs and essays. Make sure you have a safety school (that is, a college that you can definitely get into and afford, and that you’re willing to attend).</p>
